When a person gets diagnosed with cancer it effects everybody in the closest family circle. No one fights cancer alone. Family, friends and work colleages all want to show their support but it can be hard to know what to do.
Everybody can participate in Relay for Life (Styrkleikarnir). Families, friendgroups, businesses, sportsclubs etc. can register as a team. The teammembers then divide the 24h event between them selves and walk a path with a relay stick that symbalizes the cancer. There will also be variable experiences on site for all agegroups. Relay for Life is about solidarity, support and caring of the teams in supporting a person that has been diagnosed with cancer or remembering someone that has passed.
Relay for Life is arranged by volunteers to show support and fundraise for cancer research, professional support and services to cancer patients and their caregivers.
