Come ride with local expert riders, we will show you our favourite trails. Location:https://goo.gl/maps/ZMRTgA5hxdkAZPSc6 GPS 64.022585, -21.212203 Icebike Adventures is a family-owned & operated company passionate about mountain biking and the outdoors. We will bring you to our favourite areas in the country. Often unmarked and unmapped trails. We keep our group sizes small to ensure that we can provide outstanding service for every guest. We donate our time trail building in various areas of the island and we maintain the trails we ride. Icebike Adventures is the leading bike tour operator in the country and we work hard to promote and improve biking in Iceland.  Iceland's biking scene is young, and legislation on biking is still forming. The highlands are vast areas of unique untouched nature. As the summer is short, the vegetation only has 6-8 weeks to grow and recover each year. We tailor our trips to make no harm to nature, and we promote practices that will keep our wilderness intact for future generations. Please help us keep trails open to riders by riding respectfully. Our riding roots run deep, and our passion is to innovate and deliver a world-class adventure. At the end of the day, we just love to ride our bikes, and it shows.
Southcoast Adventure
Specializes in tailor-made private & luxury tours and all kinds of day trips around Iceland. Open schedule tours or private Southcoast Adventure was established in 2009 by Þorgerður Guðmundsdóttir and Ársæll Hauksson. To begin with, there was just ONE jeep that was used to offer trips to tourists and mostly Icelanders who wanted to see more of their beautiful country. Two years later, their first member of staff was hired. The company today has 28 vehicles of all shapes and sizes, including snowmobiles and 4×4 buggies. Initially, daily trips were offered to Eyjafjallajökul, Þórsmörk, and Fimmvörðuháls. Today, the company has grown considerably, and daily trips are offered in many vehicles to many destinations: snowmobile and buggy trips; twice daily departures to the ice cave; trips transporting luggage for those clients who are doing hikes to the various glaciers, mountains, and the interior; glacier ice-hikes as well as those up mountains and further inland. All of this and custom-made trips/adventures for those who thirst for something off the beaten track. Many of the staff are also active members of the local Search and Rescue, and this obviously is a bonus when dealing with Icelandic nature and the sometimes rugged environment. Thankfully, their unique skills have not often been called upon, but it is a reassuring skill to have. No two days are the same, and there is always a feeling of excitement for the next day at work and the adventures it may bring. The company prides itself on building incredible trips and memories for our clients, both locals and foreigners. Staff/guides are always encouraged to extend their knowledge as much as possible so that all clients are satisfied and the company aims always to improve their service. As mentioned, most of the staff/guides are from the surrounding areas – this is a huge advantage as it means that when needs arise, the local knowledge makes for a more comfortable working environment. Southcoast Adventure offers luxury Super Jeep tours in South Iceland, such as day tours, guided hikes, or customized tours. Book your Iceland adventure now! Buggy Tours: Buggy tours in Iceland have become increasingly popular over the last decade. ATV adventure tours are suitable for almost anyone in terms of fitness level. At Eldhestar we have developed our activities since 1986 to combine pleasure, comfort and adventure in a way respecting nature. Our farm is located in the heart of Iceland’s south-western countryside, only 30 minutes´ drive from Reykjavík. The fascinating area around the volcano Hengill with its beautiful valleys, hot springs and the chance to bathe in natural warm water is the origin of our name: Volcano horses – Eldhestar in Icelandic. We offer a great variety of riding tours all year round. You can choose between half day tours, day tours, combo tours including riding and activities and multi-day tours including 2-7 days of riding. For experienced riders, we offer the adventure of 6-7 days on horseback in the Icelandic highlands with a herd of free running horses. We have up to 350 horses at our farm in the summer and 60-100 in the winter, doing our best to find the ideal horse for everyone. For groups, we offer a Horse Show, presenting the Icelandic horse´s historic role as well as its unique qualities as a riding horse for everyone - reservation required! Hotel Eldhestar offers accommodation in a cozy countryside hotel with a luxurious atmosphere, featuring 37 rooms, a spacious restaurant, conference facilities, and hot tubs. Colors and materials in Icelandic nature, genuine craftsmanship and old tradition inspire the interior of Hotel Eldhestar, which was the first lodging in Iceland to receive the Nordic Swan Eco-label. We also offer accommodation in a guesthouse with shared facilities for up to 19 people. Our guests can relax in a beautiful and peaceful environment, get to know fascinating nature with the Icelandic horses during the day and enjoy comfortable accommodations, food and drink in a cozy atmosphere in the evenings. We emphasize personal service, safety and an environmentally friendly operation. Eldhestar is participant in VAKINN, Iceland tourism’s official quality and safety label. Iceland Activities
“Written by Úlfar, son of the family” When it comes down to choose a travel operator/company or just how to spend your day in Iceland, then there are endless possibilities, allot of good companies and allot of not so good companies that are just in it for the money! So why chose Iceland Activities? Our company ”Iceland Activities” is my family (my parents, my sister, grandma, girlfriend, brother in law and our closest friends and family). We did not create this company to become rich! We truly love what we do, we created this company to be able to do what we love every day and even on our days off, we are doing the same tours on our own.  We base all of our tours on our family experience, traveling together as a family since 1983 has built up a crazy amount of experience and knowledge of secret locations all over the South part of Iceland, some locations that only my family knows about still today. Creating tours that are well suitable to all level of fitness from families with young children to super adventures families or individuals.  On our journey from 1983 we have earned a well-spoken reputation as an outdoor family and known for seeking out the sports that were not as common, my father was one of the first ones to modify his jeeps and we are proud to be one of the first mountain bikers of Iceland and the only local MTB guides on the Hengill volcanic area, guides who grew up mountain biking and exploring the area on tracks made by the Icelandic sheep. Today we offer a good selection of tours, ranging from two hours up to multi-day trips, and overnight camping tours focusing mostly on the off the beaten path experience. We can tailor made everything about the tour and set up the tour as you like, we could keep it more raw or have it quite luxurious and high class but still remote. We could keep the days more active or more easy going. It really depends on your choose, our aim is to enjoy the day with you.   Some of the things we offer: Super jeep tours ● Mountain bike tours ● Hike tours ● Lava caving ● Surfing ● Team building ● food tasting ● Snowshoeing ● Sightseeing ● food tasting and culture tours ● zip line ● Skiing ● rock climbing ● camping ● Ice hockey ● Curling Staff and guides: family members and close friends and we are all Icelandic :)  Locations: Iceland Activities family headquarters are located in Hveragerði, the Icelandic capital of hot springs. Hveragerði is 45 km east of the capital Reykjavík (30 minutes drive on highway 1).  Contact us and we will customize a tour for you, your friends or family. We specialize in having small groups and we never mix into big groups, so your experience will be better. When bigger groups book with us 6 persons or more then the tours are automatically private.
