They are a young local couple, with two sons, who together with Ragnar make a well balanced team with great future ambitions for their.Their reputation for local welcoming atmosphere, excellent high-quality craft beer and pizza has spread widely since opening in the spring of 2017.
Ölverk offers tours where the history of beer in Iceland discuss, geothermal activity in the Hengill area and the use of geothermal energy here in Hveragerði as well as in the whole of Iceland. The main focus of the tour, however, is the story of Ölverk, and our own special brewing process as the Each guest gets to taste four different Ölverk beers during their tour. Our traditional brewery tour lasts 30-40 minutes and needs to be booked in advance.

Skaftárstofa Visitor Centre, Kirkjubæjarklaustur
Skaftárstofa is the Vatnajökull National Park visitors center, located near Kirkjubæjarklaustur at Sönghóll by road number 1. It also serves as an information center for the municipality of Skaftárhreppur, and visitors have the option to see the exhibition "Springtrip" by the Iceland Glaciology Society. The exhibition, which was made on the occasion of the society's 70th anniversary, sheds light on its history, explains the construction of the society's cabins, trips on the glacier, glacial tongue measurements, research projects that have been carried out during spring trips to Vatnajökull, the glacier bacteria and the magazine Jökull.

Þórbergssetur
The Þórbergur Centre was established in memory of the famous Icelandic writer Þórbergur Þórðarsson (1888 – 1974), who was born in Hali in Suðursveit. The centre includes a heritage museum and unique exhibitions of the district Sudursveit and the writer Þórbergur Þórðarson, his life and work. The Thorbergur Centre is by road number 1, the Ring Road. only 13 km further east from Jökulsárlón.

Skaftafell Visitor Centre, Skaftafell
Skaftafellsstofa is an information and education centre where visitors can find answers to their questions about the Skaftafell area, along with information about hiking trails, accommodation and nearby recreational options. The centre has an exhibition room with a film about the soutside of Vatnajökull National Park.
At the campsite there is WC, (also for the disabled), running water (hot & cold), shower, gift shop, cafeteria, coach service, service station, walking paths, hiking guide, outdoor grills, and washing machine. Exhibition showing the geology of the National Park. Service station close by and various other opportunities. For information ask at the service desk. The camping ground is open all year round

Powering the Future
Landsvirkjun's energy exhibition is located in Ljósafoss Power Station, about a 50-minute drive from Reykjavík.
The exhibition is interactive, with an emphasis on play and experience. It offers guests a glimpse into the world of electricity and introduces them to the renewable and sustainable energy generation methods used by Landsvirkjun.
