The artist Thomasine Giesecke will instruct 2 workshops during two afternoons using two very different techniques: one carving clay (inspired by artist Gerdur Helgadottir and one using soap stone inspired by artist Halldór Einarsson both in the exhibition Cornerstone.

1st day:
Clay carving:
You will first draw a sitting figure. and from a block of clay, you will then mold it into a body shape ( inspiration: the work of Gerdur Helgadottir : « Ung Kona / Young woman »). This workshop is for amateur artists and beginners who want to learn how to build a body step by step.
2nd day:
Soap stone sculpting
Inspired by the artist Halldór Einarsson’s chess game
In soap stone make your own piece for a chess game and wear it as a jewelry.
Thomasine will show you the way step by step.
