On August 18th, the family farm Gunnbjarnarholt, which operates Hreppamjólk, will open its farm to visitors in celebration of Directly from the Farm day, which is now being held for the second year in a row. On that day, other local food processors and small-scale producers from the region will join Gunnbjarnarholt to showcase and sell their products. At Gunnbjarnarholt, guests will be offered free cake, coffee, and juice directly from the farm.

  • The food market will be held in the Landstólpi cafeteria at Gunnbjarnarholt.
  • Visitors can tour the barn, which is a new high-tech facility, and from there, they can view the dairy processing area and receive information about the activities taking place there.
  • Outside, there are cows, and cats can be found in the barn.
  • There will be an artificial cow with udders that can be milked and open milk and ice cream vending machines.
  • The formal opening of the container shop at Hreppamjólk.
  • Rolling videos on a big screen in the barn.
  • Displayed machines and equipment that children can try out and sit in.
  • Bouncy castle.
  • A map with information on where everything is located.
