From Candlelit Caves to Ink - A Lasting Souvenir from South Iceland

Three visitors recently took home an unforgettable souvenir from South Iceland after attending the Viking Feast hosted by Caves of Hella and Hotel Rangá inside one of the ancient man made caves in Hella.

The candlelit evening at the Caves of Hella blends local food from Hotel Rangá with storytelling that guides guests through the area’s history, and it clearly made a lasting impression. The next day, the guests went to a local tattoo artist and chose to get the same tattoo inspired by one of the caves as a personal reminder of a night they did not want to forget.

The hosts were happily surprised by the gesture, and the guests were offered lifetime free entry to the Caves of Hella to mark the special moment. The tourism operator behind the experience said they could hardly imagine a better review of what they offer than guests choosing to carry that memory with them for life.
