Closure of the bridge over Ölfusá river at Selfoss in the middle of August

Due to repairs, the bridge over Ölfusá river will be closed for a week in the middle of August.

It is scheduled to close the bridge on August 12^th at midnight and reopen it for the morning traffic at 06:00 AM on August 13^th. The bridged will be closed again the same day at 08:00 PM.

It is estimated that traffic can be redirected over the bridge on August 20^th.

Bypass from and to Reykjavik is through Þrengsli (road 39) along Eyrarbakkavegur (road 34) over Óseyrarbrú bridge.

Traffic to and from the inland is bypassed by Biskupstungnabraut (road 35), Skálholtsvegur (road 31), Bræðratunguvegur (road 359) and Skeiðavegur (road 30).
