Lóa Hlín Hjálmtýsdóttir and Una Margrét Jónsdóttir will read from their books and join writer, editor and publisher Harpa Rún Kristjánsdóttir for a conversation about the value of allowing laughter and comedy to flourish in contemporary society.
Both Lóa and Una have explored humour in their work, each in her own distinctive way. Una has written two books, Silfuröld revíunnar and Gullöld revíunnar, exploring the history of Icelandic revues and their tradition of poking fun at the times in which they were created. Lóa has published numerous comics in which she turns a sharp and playful eye on herself and contemporary life, including her Lóaboratoríum books and Dæs og Fnæs.
