Into the Wild

Into The Wild offers first class, tailor made Super-Jeep adventure tours. Would you like to take a walk through an underground river or stand face to face to a magnificent glacier whilst strolling up a mystical canyon? This adventure and even more are possible during an Into The Wild trip.

Into The Wild is a family operated company, fully authorized by the Icelandic Tourist Board. Boasting of more than 35 years of experience of the surrounding area of Eyjafjallajökull. Our vehicles are specially made for off road tours and excursions. Our goal is to provide outstanding, personal service whilst respecting the highest safety standards.

Our standard tours are:

Þórsmörk (Thorsmork) An adventure into the majestic Þórsmörk (Thorsmork) mountain ride. There we will cross some of the most powerful glacial rivers in the south of Iceland, drive along the south coast with optional stops at Seljalandsfoss, Gígjökull glacier, Stakkholtsgjá, Merkurker and Nauthúsagil.

Landmannalaugar A great highland tour to the multicolored rhyolite mountain range, the largest geothermal areas in Iceland and Hekla, the most active and probably the most famous volcano in Iceland. Don't forget to bring a swimsuit and towel!

Northern Lights Hunt (Aurora Borealis) An adventure out of the city to attempt a hunt of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). With a little bit of luck you will see the most majestic sight of your life.

Private tours You could for example take a tour to majestic Þórsmörk (Thorsmork), visit the great Snæfellsnes the home of the mysterious Snæfellsjökull glacier, take a trip to Landmannalaugar, or plan, with our expert guides, your own dream tour to discover the "wild" Iceland.

Golden Circle An adventure to the Golden Circle. We will stop at four of the most exceptional sights in Iceland. Þingvellir (Thingvellir) national park, Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss and Kerið. This day tour offers you a chance to see the most popular sights of Iceland.

Eyjafjallajokull glacier On this great adventure to majestic Eyjafjallajökull glacier that erupted in 2010, our Super Jeep will climb on rough tracks towards the glacier. On the way we will pass many old volcano craters before we reach Goðasteinn rock where we can look down into the crater that erupted in 2010. The views from there are magnificent towards the south coast of Iceland as well as to the great volcanoes surrounding f.ex Hekla volcano.

The south of Iceland has several towns and villages, each with its own style, charm and points of interest. Selfoss is the largest town and has a variety of shops, services, many restaurants and fast food places. Most towns are close to the main route, making them accessible and enjoyable.
